Maggie and Mosè under the bedspread

Both my cats like to sleep under the bedspread when it's cold or when Maggie is scared (Mosè hardly gets scared, he's too reckless and curious).

It's so funny seeing these little bumps on my bed..!

Entrambi i miei mici amano dormire sotto il copriletto quando fa freddo o quando la Maggie è spaventata (Mosè difficilmente si spaventa, è troppo sconsiderato e curioso).

E' buffissimo vedere questi piccoli bozzi sul mio letto..!

Sunday at the sea

Today I went to the beach for a walk. It was cold but sunny so it was really pleasant..

Oggi ho fatto una passeggiata al mare. Faceva freddo, ma c'era il sole, perciò si stava proprio bene..

I think that running is one of the most unnatural things a human being can do.. I mean, why running if you can walk? And, please, remember I'm terribly lazy (so, probably, I wouldn't even walk).

However I've started running (really slowly) with my cousing Mati because she's going to get married soon  (?) and at her wedding I don't want to be the chubby girl at the kids' table (there's always one).

I've been told that after a while your body gets used to the running and you start needing  it (really?). I wonder if it will ever happen to me..

Credo che correre sia una delle cose più innaturali che un essere umano possa fare.. voglio dire, perchè correre se puoi camminare? E, per favore, ricordate che sono estremamente pigra (perciò fosse per me non farei nemmeno lo sforzo di camminare).

Ad ogni modo, ho iniziato a correre (molto piano) con mia cugina Mati perchè presto (?) si sposerà e al suo matrimonio non voglio essere la ragazza cicciotta al tavolo dei bambini (ce ne è sempre una).

Mi è stato detto che dopo un po' il corpo si abitua alla corsa e si inizia a sentirne il bisogno (è mai possibile?). Mi chiedo se mi succederà mai..

In this period I'm studying hard for my exams, so I'm locked up at home wearing my studying outfit: no make up, baggy trousers, a soft cotton vest and a fluffy wool hoodie.

The worst thing is not having time for reading my books (a stack as tall as me) and shopping (the sales have already started but I haven't gone shopping yet!).

In questo periodo sono sotto esame, perciò sono chiusa in casa in tenuta da studio matto e disperato: niente trucco, pantaloni sformati, canottiera soffice di cotone e maglione morbidoso con cappuccio.

La cosa peggiore è che non ho tempo di leggere i miei libri (una pila alta quanto me) e fare shopping (i saldi sono iniziati e io non sono ancora andata a fare un giro!).

Tomorrow the winter sales are starting!! yeeeehhh!!

I've already thought about a few items I'd like/I need to buy: first of all another pair of Ugg-alike boots (seriously, I can't live without them anymore.. it will be a shock not wearing them anymore when spring will come).

Are you going hunting anything in particular during these sales?

Domani iniziano i saldi invernali!! Evviva!!

Ho già in mente diverse cose che vorrei/di cui avrei bisogno: innanzi tutto un altro paio di simil-Ugg (davvero, non posso più vivere senza.. sarà un trauma non poterli più mettere quando arriverà la primavera).

E voi andate a caccia di qualcosa in particolare durante questi saldi?

It seems that 2011 will be quite a positive year for me as I finally found a part-time job: I started giving private lessons to a 13th years old girl :)

I'm so happy I finally found a little job that makes me get some money (not a lot, but I'm saving it for my not-so-secret project of going back to the UK) while I'm finishing my degree. Moreover I like teaching and I think I'm pretty good at it (in all modesty).

What about your new year's start?

ps: those who catch the quote in the picture get my high esteem :D

Sembra che il 2011 sarà un anno piuttosto positivo dato che finalmente ho trovato un lavoretto part-time: do ripetizioni a una ragazzina di 13 anni :)

Sono strafelice di aver finalmente trovato un lavoretto che mi faccia prendere qualche soldo (non molti, ma li sto risparmiando per il mio non-tanto-segreto progetto di tornare in UK) mentre finisco di laurearmi. Inoltre mi piace insegnare e credo di esserci portata (modestia a parte).

E il vostro inizio anno come procede?

ps: chi indovina la citazione della foto ha tutta la mia stima :D
