shopping time

Unfortunately (or should I say "fortunately"?) I haven't shopped a lot during the sales, however I bought a nice couple of things to show you..

The scarf is from Zara and it's pure silk, dove-grey with a hint of bright colours (orange and magenta). Perfect for summer!

I'm looking forward to wearing this hairband.. it's so pretty! :-)

I couldn't resist buying this black lace dress.

It's pretty loose and I'm going to wear it with my calf length boots (I love them so much that I have them in black and in grey as well). The result is quite nice even if slightly '90s (I don't know why but it reminds me of "Beverly Hills 90210").

Non ho saputo resistere e ho comprato questo vestito in pizzo nero.

E' piuttosto largo ed ho intenzione di portarlo con i miei stivali a mezzo polpaccio (che adoro talmente tanto da averli in due colori: grigio e nero). L'effetto finale è carino anche se vagamente '90s (non so perchè ma mi ricorda "Beverly Hills 90210").

It's town fair time!

Every year in my town we have a town fair with street markets, merry-go-rounds, trade exhibitions, food and sweets stalls, concerts.

It's a tradition I really like and I always attend it with my family and friends.. you can stay out all day and night, walking, eating, talking and laughing in the streets. The feeling is wonderful!  :)

This year these were my purchases:

Ogni anno nella mia città c'è la fiera cittadina con mercatini, giostre, esposizioni commerciali, bancarelle colme di cibo e dolciumi, concerti.

E' una tradizione che mi piace moltissimo e partecipo sempre con i miei familiari e amici.. si può stare fuori giorno e notte e camminare, parlare, mangiare e ridere per strada. L'atmosfera è meravigliosa!  :)

Quest'anno questi sono stati i miei acquisti tra le bancarelle:

ita [questo ciondolo in argento me lo ha trovato mia cugina Anna. Mi ha detto "E' perfetto per te, è proprio nel tuo stile".. e ovviamente aveva ragione, per cui HO DOVUTO comprarlo :D ]

Tomorrow the winter sales are starting!! yeeeehhh!!

I've already thought about a few items I'd like/I need to buy: first of all another pair of Ugg-alike boots (seriously, I can't live without them anymore.. it will be a shock not wearing them anymore when spring will come).

Are you going hunting anything in particular during these sales?

Domani iniziano i saldi invernali!! Evviva!!

Ho già in mente diverse cose che vorrei/di cui avrei bisogno: innanzi tutto un altro paio di simil-Ugg (davvero, non posso più vivere senza.. sarà un trauma non poterli più mettere quando arriverà la primavera).

Shopping in Trieste

Yesterday I went to Trieste to see my cousin Benedetta (in the picture) who studies there. Of course, after a delicious  ice cream and a walk by the sea we popped into some shops and this is the result.

Ieri sono stata a Trieste a trovare mia cugina Benedetta (nella foto) che studia lì.

Ovviamente, dopo un delizioso gelato e una passeggiata sul lungomare, abbiamo fatto una capatina in alcuni negozi e questo è il risultato.

I finally have my Ugg-alike boots! You already know how comfy and warm they are, so I won't repeat it.. I really love them.

And yes, those are my pyjamas.

Finalmente ho il mio paio di simil-Ugg! Sapete già quanto sono comodi e caldi, quindi non lo ripeterò.. li adoro, veramente.

E sì, quello è il mio pigiama.

I needed a pair of wellies to go to Venice even with the high water. These boots are really nice and I like a lot the paisley pattern, it gives them a folk look.. what do you think?

Avevo bisogno di un paio di stivali di gomma per andare a Venezia anche con l'acqua alta. Questi sono molto carini e mi piace molto il disegno cashmere, gli dà un aspetto folk.. che ne pensate?

I promised to myself I wouldn't have bought books as the pile on my bedside table is considerably high, but I miserably failed when I saw this one: "A Room of One's Own" by Virginia Woolf. I couldn't leave it there.

Mi ero ripromesso che non avrei comprato libri dato che la pila sul mio comodino è notevolmente alta, ma ho fallito miseramente quando ho visto questo: "Una stanza tutta per sè" di Virginia Woolf. Non ho potuto lasciarlo là.

Acquisti di Strassoldo

These are my purchases at Strassoldo's Festival(please view previous posts for details): a soap with donkey milk (so I can take a milk bath like Cleopatra, well.. almost) and a robin made of recycled-iron (isn't it adorable? I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it).

Questi sono i miei acquisti alla manifestazione di Strassoldo (per i dettagli al riguardo vi rimando ai post precedenti): un sapone con latte d'asina (così posso fare il bagno nel latte come Cleopatra, o quasi) e un pettirosso fatto di ferro riciclato (non è adorabile? me ne sono innamorata non appena l'ho visto).
